What is the Creative Team?

The Run Wild My Child Creative Team is a group of dedicated moms (or dads!) from all walks of life who share a passion for encouraging families to get outside, explore nature, and create lasting memories.

Creative Team members contribute seasonal content for our website and magazine, helping us inspire and support thousands of families around the world.

What Does a Creative Team Member Do?

As a member of the Creative Team, you will:

• Contribute four pieces of content per year (one per season), which may include blog posts, magazine articles, or other creative contributions.
• Collaborate with the RWMC editorial team to align content with seasonal themes and audience interests.
• Promote your work and RWMC content through your personal networks and social media platforms.
• Act as an ambassador for the RWMC mission, supporting our vision of connecting families with nature.

 

What Are We Looking For?

We’re seeking:

• Moms who are passionate about the outdoors and eager to inspire others.
• Writers, photographers, adventurers, and creatives with a knack for storytelling and writing with personality.
• Individuals who align with RWMC’s mission and values (e.g., a passion for outdoor adventures, a commitment to inclusivity and diversity, an appreciation for honest and authentic storytelling, a collaborative and team-oriented mindset, kindness and compassion, creativity, and a non-judgmental, supportive approach to inspiring families to connect with nature).
• Candidates who are reliable, self-motivated, open to collaboration, and can commit to meeting deadlines and producing high-quality content.

What’s NOT required to apply:

• A Large Social Media Following: We’re not looking for mega-influencers or big accounts. We value authentic voices and genuine passion far more than follower counts or likes.
• Professional Writing Experience: You don’t need to be a seasoned writer or journalist. If you love storytelling, sharing your outdoor experiences, and connecting with other moms, that’s what matters most.
• Perfect Grammar or Spelling: We’ll help you polish your content before it’s published, so don’t stress about being a grammar wizard.
• An Instagram-Perfect Life: We’re all about real life, not perfection. Whether your outdoor adventures involve muddy kids, messy picnics, or hilarious fails, we want to hear about it!
• Access to Fancy Gear or Exotic Locations: You don’t need to hike Mount Everest or own high-end equipment. We celebrate simple backyard adventures, neighborhood walks, and everyday moments in nature.

 

Q: Can I apply if I’m not a mom?

A: Absolutely! If you’re passionate about helping families get outdoors, we’d love to hear from you. That includes dads, grandparents, stepparents, aunts, uncles, outdoor educators, caregivers, teachers, etc.
